Modular Wastewater Treatment Systems
The Brentwood AccuLinks System

The Brentwood AccuLinks™ System is suitable for flows from 10,000 gal per day. Typically, small industrial or commercial effluents, new housing developments, hotels, schools, and any remote location are ideal applications.

AccuLinks is a complete wastewater treatment system in a flexible package of modular treatment units utilizing submerged fixed film technology. Available modules include a Primary Clarifier for solids removal, an Anaerobic BioReactor for BOD reduction, an Aerobic BioReactors for BOD oxidation and nitrification, and a Secondary Clarifier for separation of solids. Solids from both the Primary and Secondary Clarifiers are accumulated and reduced in the Aerobic Digester.

Basic Module
Basic AccuLinks Module
All modules are contained within fully-enclosed polyethylene tanks. The tanks are domed for strength and rigidity, allowing them to be almost fully buried for concealment. Access to the interior for maintenance is via manway in the top. The rigid domed top supports the motor for driving the interior mechanisms. Tanks are available are 8, 10, and 12 ft diameters.
Primary Clarifier   Primary Clarifier
The Primary Clarifier includes a centerwell for entering wastewater and a baffled exit weir for gross separation of incoming solids prior to biological treatment.
Anaerobic BioReactor

Anaerobic BioReactor
The Anaerobic BioReactor contains structured sheet PVC media for biomass accumulation. This tank is fully-enclosed and sealed. Circulation is accomplished with a top-mounted motor driving a shaft with an impeller that pumps liquid down a draft tube to a plenum under the media. Liquid then flows up through the media, providing intimate contact between the biomass film on the media and the organic waste in the wastewater. All components inside the tank are either non-corrosive PVC or stainless steel (shaft, hubs, and impeller). Excess gas is vented to the Aerobic BioReactors for bioscrubbing.

Aerobic BioReactor

Aerobic BioReactor
The Aerobic BioReactor is identical to the Anaerobic BioReactors except that the motors operate at a higher horsepower. Aeration is accomplished by inducing air in the down-pumping impeller via vortex aeration. The entrained air is dispersed throughout the media with the liquid distribution. A small fan is mounted on the top of the motor base plate to provide fresh air (oxygen) to the air plenum above the liquid.

Secondary Clarifier

Secondary Clarifiers
The Secondary Clarifiers contain troughs, weirs, a centerwell for entering wastewater, and a bottom scraper. A top mounted motor drives the scraper.

Digester

Digester
The Digester contains a unique proprietary aeration device. A top mounted motor drives the impeller to mix and aerate the contents.

Module Layout
Most treatment requirements are met with a basic 4-modules-in-series layout. These include a Primary Clarifier, Anaerobic BioReactor, Aerobic BioReactor, and Secondary Clarifier. If nitrification is needed, a second aerobic module is added. For biological denitrification an anoxic module is placed upstream of the aerobic modules and a re-circulation pump is added. In this way future modifications and upgrades are easily handled.
Submerged Fixed Film Technology
The technology utilized in the reactor modules was proven in over ten years of operation in high-strength leachate treatment plants. The biofilter media is the same as that used in thousands of treatment plants worldwide. The process is not dependent on settling and returning activated sludge because the biomass is fixed in place on the structured media. Reliable performance is assured because of the inherent stability of the fixed biomass.
The Brentwood AccuLinks System
The Brentwood system is a full turnkey offering. The assembled modules are delivered to site with pre-assembled inter-connecting piping and placed on an owner-prepared pad. A Brentwood crew makes the interconnections of piping and electrical power and commissions the plant. The owner is responsible for site prep, electric service to the site, wastewater delivery to the plant inlet, and sludge hauling after start-up.
