Brentwood Acquires Polytech Corporation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BRENTWOOD INDUSTRIES, INC. ACQUIRES POLYTECH CORPORATION READING, PENNSYLVANIA, USA, FEBRUARY 20, 2012 – Brentwood Industries, Inc. signed an agreement to acquire Polytech Corporation.

Polytech Corporation’s expertise in helical skimmers and scum pipes will enhance Brentwood Industries overall product portfolio and provide additional market opportunities. The acquisition of Polytech’s technology and knowledge of non-metallic and metallic helical skimmers and rotating scum pipe skimmers will add to Brentwood Industries product offerings for a complete range of surface removal systems.

Polytech Corporation developed the first non-metallic helical skimmer in the industry, combining corrosion resistance and high strength lightweight materials. In addition, Polytech is the industry leader in non-metallic rotating scum pipes. Polytech products will be administered by Brentwood Industries’ Polychem Systems division.

For over 40 years, Brentwood Industries has been designing and manufacturing product solutions for highly diverse worldwide industries including: automotive, battery, construction, medical packaging, cooling systems, stormwater management and wastewater treatment.

WEFTEC 2011

WEFTEC is recognized as the world’s largest annual water quality event and provides the latest technologies and services for water environment preservation, restoration, and sustainability. WEFTEC 2011 took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, October 15-19. With an attendance of more than 16,000 national and international water professionals and nearly 1,000 exhibiting water companies, the 84th annual event was the city’s second largest conference.

Ops Challenge 2011

Now in its 24th year, Operations Challenge has grown from an original 22-team event to its current 37-team, two-division format. Winners are determined by a weighted point system for five events including collection systems, laboratory, process control, maintenance and safety. The events are designed to test the diverse skills required for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, their collection systems and laboratories—all vital to the protection of public health and the environment.

Polychem customers were two of the 37-team participants. The Jersey Devils represented Cape May, NJ and had a very enthusiastic group of supporters. Team HRSD from the Virginia Water Environment placed 4th overall in the competition.

NSF Standard 61 Press Release

READING, PENNSYLVANIA, USA, FEBRUARY 2009 – Polychem Systems, the
leading supplier of 100% non-metallic chain and flight sludge collector systems, announces the completion of NSF/ANSI Standard 61 certification.

NSF Standard 61 is the nationally recognized health effects standard for
devices, components, and materials which contact drinking water. The standard addresses crucial aspects of drinking water system components, indirect
additive products and materials, products, components, and materials. When a material is certified under Standard 61, its certification indicates use restrictions
on parameters such as maximum use temperature or surface area to volume
ratio when the material is used in a finished product.
