For additional drive protection
under high load conditions, NRG can furnish limit switches and support brackets for use with
our Trip cam drive sprocket assemblies. When a limit switch is activated via shear pin breakage, it sends a signal to the control panel, alarm, or motor and shuts off the system. Since shear pins themselves do not signal that there is an overload or stop the motor, a limit switch is a useful feature for system protection. NRG's standard limit switch is a heavy duty DPDT modular type. Versatile, highly reliable, and easy to install these limit switches withstand physical and chemical abuse in harsh industrial environments. In new installations NRG provides a custom made limit switch support bracket in carbon or stainless steel, as well as a rocker arm to engage the trip cam lug. Limit switches can be furnished for explosion proof requirements.

Overload protection is also available in the form of Spring Loaded, Ball Detent Release Clutches, Electronic Shear Pins, & Flight Monitoring Systems. Contact NRG for further details.
